Goals

This is a One Name Study to collect together in one place everything about one surname and the variants of that name. The hope is that other researchers like you will join our study to help make it a valuable reference point for people studying lines that cross or intersect.

Task List

1) Add a sample of Higdon spouses to the list to help determine which families they tended to intermarry with.

2) Remove higher security (Yellow, Orange, and Red) Higdons from the list. Remove infants and young children that died early from list. Remove Higdons that never procreated from the list.

3) Look for Higdons that have missing sources or basic information such as: birth date, place of birth, death date, place of death, and do research to help fill in the blanks.

4) Look for Higdon connections.

5) Write short bios for each of the Higdon profiles.

6) Create a Higdon Name Study in the missing states/countries that have Higdons and variants.

7) Add Higdon males born in Canada pre-1880.

8) Add Higdon females born in Canada pre-1800.

9) Add male Higdons born in the US pre-1880.

10) Add female Higdons born in the US pre-1850.

11) Add male Higdons born in the UK pre-1880.

12) Adjust the inclusion dates of Higdons born in US States that didn't enter the Union until a later date.

13) Add Brick Wall Profiles to the Project if born before 1910.

14) Look for Connections of Profiles between countries.
